Phenom II 555? Why? Do you have a Microcenter anywhere near you? They sell Phenom II 965′s with a motherboard for 89 bucks. Or i3 2120 for $99 (plus motherboard)
I’m an AMD fan but the Phenom line is a dead man walking.
I’m in Canada so no microcenter.
I already had the motherboard and CPU so I wanted to put it to use.
The CPU overclocks to 4GHz+ easily on the stock cooler, and this rig will only be used for guild wars 2. It can be upgraded to FX or Phenom II X4 if needed later. I want to see how it fares first.
