This i5 clocked up to 4.7GHz no problem. My chip yields this speed at a fairly low voltage, allowing me to maintain power efficiency, but make a large gain in speed. Here is a screenshot of my folding with the V7 beta client on my new processor: The processor has been running stable at [...]

I was messing around tonight with my 555 X2 unlocked to an X4, and I opened CPU-Z to find this: That is the oddest CPU-Z glitch I have experienced so far. Unlocking CPU’s does weird things to your software

As a benchmarker, the biggest milestone you will come across is your first plunge below -100C. Liquid Nitrogen is -196C by nature, and to utilize this exotic cooling material, you need a fantastic evaporator, or more commonly known as a pot. Much like dry ice, cooling the processor down this cold will decrease impedance that [...]

Seems these new denebs have been surpassing the thubans quite a bit lately when looking at individual cores. This 555 that I have here in my bench, has an extremely high VID (1.425V) which is normally terrible for a CPU meaning it will not overclock well. This chip did quite the opposite. Not as good [...]
