Decided to do a little bit of ram clocking for this DDR3 challenge on hwbot.org. Threw my rig on my windowsill, and ran some 32m. More to come. I hope to compete in the Deneb class as well.

I was really surprised to see what these lovely sticks did today. This is the Mushkin Ridgeback 1600MHz 6-8-6-24 kit. On AMD, it is extremely difficult to run any ram above 2000MHz. Opened up the window last night and let the winter air flow: This is single card only. The 5870 was running at 900MHz/1300MHz.

Hey guys, I finally reached my goal. I got 2000MHz on my ram stable in Prime 95 (finally). It involved a few tweaks, in regards to blowing a fan directly on the IC’s and loosening the tRCD to 10, however the rest of the timings remain the same much like in my 32m stable run. [...]
