Busiest Day Yet, and Other Updates

Hey everyone

I just got back home for the evening. Being the “stats-addict” that I am, I did the usual thing and checked the daily views on my blog.

I am proud to announce that May 31st 2012 was my busiest day for site traffic since the blog was started 3 years ago. Here is a snapshot of the stats!

I would just like to say thank you to everyone who stopped by to talk a peek at my blog!

Now for the updates

I am attempting to become more active as the summer weeks begin. Lots has happened over the past few months. I picked up a brand new Samsung Galaxy Nexus, a breathtaking new Samsung Syncmaster 24″ LED LCD, Diablo 3 (of course), and also an OCZ SSD for my gaming setup. So expect some more techy blog posts coming soon.

I will also be launching a new page on my site specifically for news or other tech articles that have not been written by me. This page is simply called “News” and is currently a work in progress.

If you haven’t already noticed, the theme of the site has been changed. It is still a free template, but I am in the market for a premium design once I get things a little more polished. Another thing, there are now ads on my webpage. A lot of people might not like this, but the ad engine is pretty good about picking up keywords and displaying ads that are really┬árelevant┬áto the topic of this blog. It also helps me fund more upgrades for the site!

About these ads

i5 2500K Folding @ 4.7GHz

This i5 clocked up to 4.7GHz no problem. My chip yields this speed at a fairly low voltage, allowing me to maintain power efficiency, but make a large gain in speed.

Here is a screenshot of my folding with the V7 beta client on my new processor:

The processor has been running stable at these speeds for over a week, and it barely breaks 60C temps. I am loving this setup!

Slappa’s Blog Hits 30,000 Views

Today is a good day!

My blog has broken 30,000 views, and is continuing to gain popularity. I am averaging around 100 hits a day, which is great for a small computer hardware blog.

I would just like to say thank you to all my followers and viewers!

Custom Domain Is Live!

Hello everyone!

Today is a great day. I have finally taken the steps to register this blog as my own domain name, to drop the .wordpress moniker.

The new URL is simple:

slappablog.com

The old URL still works as well, it will just redirect.

Thank you all for following my blog. If anyone has any recommendation or ideas to make this blog better, drop me a comment below.

Cheers

Matthew AKA Slappa
